The incredible strength of friendship is seen when disaster strikes and Mum’s dream of creating Britain’s most beautiful wildlife garden is destroyed by a raging storm. When all is lost and all that is left is the bond of friendship she has created with the birds, insects and animals that visit the Backyard Farm...well, that’s when the true magic begins.

From The Author

This story was written to celebrate Britain in Bloom's 60th birthday and the theme this year is 'friendship.' The book aims to inspire children with a story of hope, dreams, friendship and community. Friendship can be made or found in the most surprising places. It comes in all shapes and sizes and its true strength is always shown when you need it the most.

As Cicero once said, "For friendship is nothing else than an accord in all things, human and divine and no better thing has been given to man by the immortal gods." We hope this story enables children to see how important friendship is and without realising it, the kindness we show towards our friends can make us happy beyond our wildest dreams.
